As you prepare for the coming school year here are some items that you'll find interesting.  First, what does it cost to attend Livingstone Adventist Academy?  Second, what tools are necessary for success?  Please feel free to contact us at 503-363-9408 to answer all your questions and to receive a registration packet.  Or can even email your name, mailing address and prospective grade to info@laa.info.  We look forward to having you join us at LAA!

REGISTRATION FEES for the 2008-09 LAA school year:

For those registering before July 10, 2008:
Kindergarten through 7th Grade $275.00
8th Grade $300.00
9th through 12th Grade $350.00
For those registering after July 10, 2008:
Kindergarten through 7th Grade $375.00
8th Grade $400.00
9th through 12th Grade $450.00
Registration amounts include the $50 pre-registration deposit.

Additional Discounts:
-E-Billing enrollment registration discount of $135.00.
-Families with two students attending LAA are eligible for a 5% discount.
-Families with three or more students attending LAA are eligible for a 15% discount.
-Those paying the full year in advance by August 21, 2008 will receive a 5% discount.

Please remember that accounts must be current for applicants to be processed at registration.  Any exemptions must be granted by the Livingstone Adventist Academy Finance Committee.
It shall be the policy of schools within the North Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists to withhold transcripts of academic credit (where not in violation with state law) until students accounts are paid or until satisfactory financial arrangements have been made.
Students registering during the school year need to pay one month's tuition at the time of admission.  Any adjustments to the regular charges will be made in the final payment.

What tools do I need,
to be successful at Livingstone?

Good question!  Here's a list by class of all the supplies you need to have a successful year.  If you have any questions feel free to contact us, 503-363-9408.

Kindergarten
  • 5 - #2 pencils, sharpened

  • Fiskar Scissors

  • 2 boxes Crayola Crayons(24)

  • 2, 4 oz. bottle Elmer’s white glue

  • 6 glue sticks

  • 2 pink erasers

  • 1 package copy paper

  • Backpack

  • Small plastic latchable school box

  • Towel or small blanket for an afternoon quiet time.

  • A small framed photo of themselves (no bigger than a large wallet size)

[Please purchase brand names suggested as many supplies will be community property.]

Backpack, blanket and coat should  fit in a large grocery bag

GRADE 1
  • Small plastic school box

  • 1 doz. #2 pencils (Ticonderogga brand)

  • 2 boxes 24 Crayola Crayons (not larger)

  • 12 regular size glue sticks

  • 2 large pink erasers

  • 1 small Backpack

  • 1 regular size Kleenex box

  • 1 package white copy paper

  • 1 sturdy folder with bottom pockets

  • 1 box un-scented baby wipes

  • 1 ea. - yellow, pink, & orange highlighter

  • Change of pants and undies in ZipLoc bag to stay in backpack.

Our class will share supplies so it is not necessary to put your child’s name on anything except those items marked with an asterisk.

GRADE 2
  • Small plastic latchable school box

  • 3 boxes of yellow #2 pencils (no Eagle Brand or natural basics yellow barrel)

  • 2 boxes (24 ) Crayola Crayons (not larger)

  • 1 one-inch, 3 ring simple hard back binder. (No “Trapper Keepers”  please.)

  • Backpack

  • An extra change of clothes in a plastic bag.

  • 10 Glue Sticks

  • 2 Elmer's School Glue

  • 1 Box of 10 Crayola Markers

  • Fiskar Scissors

  • 1 box of addition/subtraction facts flash cards (1-20)

GRADE 3
  • 1, 3 ring simple binder.  (No “Trapper Keepers” please).

  • 3 pkgs notebook paper

  • Scissors

  • 2 Elmer’s glue

  • Medium set of markers

  • 2 boxes of pencils

  • Small pencil box

  • Medium box of crayons

  • Hand held pencil sharpener with reservoir

  • 1 Large eraser

  • 1 box of Kleenex

  • Screw-top water container

  • Back Pack

GRADE 4
  • 6 composition books

  • 3 folders with bottom pockets

  • 1 small pencil box

  • 1 pair of scissors

  • 1 protractor

  • 1 ruler

  • Crayons/markers/or colored markers

    Supplies for the Community Classroom:
      (please do not put names on things, we’ll share)

  • 4 pkgs. loose-leaf notebook paper.

  • 3 glue sticks

  • 24 #2 pencils

  • 2 pkgs. cap erasers

  • 10 pens (no purple, please)

  • 2 rolls Scotch tape for dispenser

  • 4 dry erase markers

  • 1 pkg. Sharpies fine point color permanent markers

  • 1 box large ZipLoc bags

GRADE 5

Personal supplies for desk: include name on it

  • 1 box markers (optional)

  • 1 highlighter (optional)

  • 3 ring binder (2”-3")

  • Dividers pages for binder

  • 1 pkg. notebook paper

  • 3-5 pocket folders (optional)

  • 2 2-liter empty soda bottles (clear is preferred)

  • 1 pair of gardening gloves (optional)

  • 1 6" - 7 1/2" (diam.) clay flower pot w/saucer

Supplies for the Community Classroom

  • 1 box of #2 pencils

  • 1 pkg. index cards (any size)

  • 2 pkgs. notebook paper

  • 1 pkg. graph paper

  • 1 pkg. paper plates (cheap ones are fine)

  • 1 watercolor pan (8-colors)

GRADES 9 - 12

Some supplies are specific to classes.  During the first week of school, students will be told what supplies are needed for their classes.
